Ladder Season 16: Dates and What's Changing

Season 15 ends November 9. Season 16 begins November 13 at 8 PM EST. Here's what changes, what to do before each date, and how it affects your D2RGEAR orders.

  • Mon, Nov 9 2 PM EST Season 15 ends. Ladder characters move to Non-Ladder.
  • Fri, Nov 13 8 PM EST Season 16 begins. New Ladder characters start from scratch.
  • Mon, Nov 16 Exact time not published Blizzard ends online LoD-to-RotW character conversion.

The four-day gap between seasons

Season 15 ends on November 9 and Season 16 doesn't begin until November 13, so there's no active Ladder season for about four days. RotW Non-Ladder and LoD Non-Ladder orders continue as normal during this time.

Season 16 Ladder preorders

We plan to open Season 16 Ladder preorders after Season 15 ends, once Season 16 pricing is in place. This page will be updated when they open.

Your Ladder characters and shared stash

  • When Season 15 ends, Ladder characters move to Non-Ladder.
  • Season 15 Ladder Shared Stash items move to a set of Withdraw Only tabs. You'll have all of Season 16 to withdraw the items you want to keep.
  • Season 14 items still in your Withdraw Only tabs are lost when Season 15 ends, so withdraw them before November 9 at 2 PM EST.
  • Buying for a former Ladder character after Season 15 ends? Choose Non-Ladder in the same game version.

Converting LoD characters to Reign of the Warlock

Starting November 16, Blizzard will no longer allow online LoD characters, Ladder or Non-Ladder, to be converted to Reign of the Warlock. Offline character conversions and Classic-to-LoD conversions are still allowed.

Blizzard hasn't published an exact time on November 16, so don't wait until the last moment. D2RGEAR's last-order time below applies to our store only. It isn't a conversion deadline.

LoD at D2RGEAR

LoD Non-Ladder items are available now. D2RGEAR has decided to stop new LoD sales starting November 16, with last orders through November 15 at 11:59 PM EST.

This is our own decision. Blizzard has not announced that LoD is being discontinued. Orders placed before the cutoff stay covered by our normal delivery and support process.

Yes. LoD Non-Ladder items are available now, and last orders are through November 15 at 11:59 PM EST.

Does the November 15 order time apply to character conversions?

No. It's our store's order cutoff only. Blizzard hasn't published an exact time on November 16 for ending online LoD-to-RotW conversions.
