Stormshield is a unique Monarch, a type of shield from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Stormshield has a very high chance of block and a fast rate of blocking which is very useful in its own right. This is especially useful in the case of Paladins, who benefit from a higher base chance to block, as well as the Holy Shield skill.

As its name implies, Stormshield primarily provides resistance against the elements of a storm: Cold and Lightning. Stormshield offers a particularly high boost to Cold Resist, and a smaller boost to Lightning Resist.

Stormshield also has the ability to reduce enemy damage by 35%, the highest such bonus from any single item in the game. This property is especially useful on higher difficulties, where survival is more difficult.
