Western Worldstone Shard (Act 1)

These consumables are used to progress toward the Colossal Ancient pinnacle encounter and unlock access to powerful Unique Jewels.

By farming basic Terror Zones, you can obtain Worldstone Shards, which allow you to terrorize entire Acts for a limited time. While playing on Hell difficulty, you may encounter Heralds of Terror — new enemies that scale exponentially in difficulty with each game they appear in.

Heralds of Terror also have a chance to drop Latent Sunder Charms, making them a valuable target beyond progression alone.

During a terrorized Act, Act Bosses gain a chance to drop Colossal Ancient Statues. Collecting all 5 statues and combining them in the Horadric Cube will open a Red Portal to the Colossal Ancient encounter.

Defeating this pinnacle boss grants access to some of the most powerful rewards available.
